NOOOOOOO!!!!!! man that sucks bad. I always tell myself before I start doing a pen that is going to take awhile, that it could blow up, be ready for it. That looks to me to have taken much longer then a pen. Can it be saved?

It was maple and jatoba. I know what went wrong. I had donut holding it on but didn't like the way it was turning and used hot melt glue and very little support from tail stock so it wasn;t being held very well but I only wanted to clean up bottom.

It looks like a simple fix for someone who can get this far. Good luck and we want to see pictures when you are finished.

Oh no. That sucks. That's a really nice piece. I would try to jam chuck the rim an cut the bottom off. Glue a new piece of wood on the bottom and return the foot.
