I caught my gouge in the end of a tool handle I was turning a few days ago and to my suprise, snapped the 6" tool rest of my little wilton mini clean off right at the top of the shaft. Could probably get a new one from wilton under warranty, but I suspect that would take forever.

Anybody know if 15/32 is a common shaft size for tool rests? Anybody got an old one laying around they have upgraded from they don't need? I could trade some blanks and pay shipping.

Go to a local welder and have a tool rest made up. A round cross piece welded to a post the right size and you have it. My local guy charges his shop minimum, $10.00 for a rest. In the meantime, contact Wilton and get your warranty replacment.
