Who does laser engraving?

A guy who works with my husband wants me to make him a couple of bolt action pens as gifts for his father and grandfather. He wants one made out of zebra wood with his dad's business name on it and the other out of camo acrylic with his grandfather's name on it. I have three questions:

1. Will engraving look good on zebra wood or is the wood too busy?
2. Will engraving look good on camo or is it too busy?
3. Who do you use for engraving if you send your pens out for that and how much does it cost?

There are several sources for engraving here, but I've always been satisfied with Stan Cook (mrcook4570) He does excellent work.

another vote for Stan.
To answer some of the other questions you had, Stan can and will add color to the engraving. So regardless of the material used, you can always add a silver (if the pen features are that color), or white to the engraving to highlight them against the darker background. Pricing is VERY reasonable, it may be posted on his website. Give him a try!
