Hello,
Let me first say I am extremely disappointed in this kit. I have made 4, all $30-$50 laser inlay kits. On all but 1 of them the shiny black part on the nib end has come lose and now rotates freely. Needless to say, I will not be making anymore of these kits. But as for the ones I have, is there any way I can fix them and stop the black piece from rotating?
Thanks in advance,
Nick

A picture would help identify which version of the many that call themselves "Sierra" you are using.
Its the Berra version, not he Sierra Vista, some from Exotics and some from Arizona Silhouette.

This could be our sierra or our diplomat, from the picture.

If it is either, just send the front ends back and I will replace them with the same kit (after making certain it does NOT have the same problem!!!)

I want the parts, not because I distrust YOU, I want to see the problem so I can check the rest of our inventory to be certain we are not shipping problems out the door!!

Thanks!!!

I fixed them. Looks like I might continue using this kit after all. Basically I fed a transfer punch through the end like you would the ink, knocked the tip off, epoxied the black piece into place, and pressed the nib back in.

I've broken just about every kit in every possible way but that is a problem I have not seen before.

Interesting.

I had a customer call me to tell me his pen fell apart. It was an Elegant Sierra that came apart at the "center band". A little Loctite fixed it.
