Pen State Guardian Pen Problem

Pressure applied to the extended pen point on the Guardian pen causes the point to be pushed back into the pen. Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing this and how it can be fixed?

You may have the transmission pushed in to far so the tip isn't locking when extended.
