Thanks George. That is really only his second time on the lathe. I let him practice on some scrap wood the first time. He only use the bowl gouge and sand paper on this one. I will wate a little longer for the skew chisel. He really wants to learn how to turn beads.

Cool, I think I'd like to teach my children to turn, though first my wife and I have to have children lol. It's a great way to spend time with your children and among other things it can teach them patience :)
