I'm working on some pens for adult leaders for our Cub Scout pack. Fred is casting blanks for me in the colors of the den badges. The general idea is that the pens will have 2 colors each -- orange/gold, red/gold, blue/gold, and red/green. They will be bright, primary colors. I'm going to use gold cigar kits for the men, but which kit would you choose for the pens for the female den leaders? I'm not a big fan of the Slim/Euro, but there's not much else to choose from. Would the BT/Rhodium Elegant Beauty work well with these colors? I hate to mix gold and silver, but the T/BT Elegant Beauty seems to me a little too fancy for these pens.
As far as the design, I was thinking about using the main color (orange, blue, red, etc.) for the bulk of the body, and inserting a strip of the complimenting gold at the top and bottom of each barrel. Kind of like a Naval Officer's sleeve cuff.
