Let me know if you think it is worth the 15.00 I spent please.
It is Hawaiian Ebony or Hawaiian Lama wood.
Thanks

Did you get that from Joel (Eganlaw) on Ebay? I have always been most satisfied with the wood I have gotten from him. Count me among those who say YES, it was a good investment.

I got it from koa wood hawaii he has a lot of nice woods. I am watching some other woods also and bidding on one but there are still 5 days left. I like the looks of Joel's "egenclaw" other woods also hope to win a few more.
As soon as I get it I will post some pics of it and some finished turnings.

Is this a hard wood to turn?

Koa Wood Hawaii is also on this forum - Kalai (Chris)...he sells some awesome wood from time to time on here too! :)
i got some koa stopper blanks and some spalted mango pen blanks from Chris, and the stuff is nice. I'm dropping it in some ultraseal right now to see how that does. His prices are good and the wood is nice. Real nice guy too, I plan to order more from him.

That's a lousy piece of wood. I'd be willing to take if off your hands so you don't have to store/turn it. I'm just trying to be a nice guy! <GRIN>

Just kidding - beautiful stuff. I am still willing, however, ....
