I am wanting to make some Editor pens for gifts. Does someone know if you can get 2 blanks out of a 5.25" blank? I was hoping to use the standard alumilite size blanks. Thanks

The finished length of the barrel is 2.6".

Better measure extremely carefully and cut with a zero curf blade (scrollsaw) and drill with great precision. Then, yes, it could probably be done.

Thank you Ed for the info and reply. At 2.6" I don't think that I could get 2 out of a 5.25 blank. I am going to plan B.

Or do a segmented pen, use cutoffs on each end, with something inbetween like aluminium or copper, or a piece of credit card. So it would go like this [ |___| ].

Or like the pen pictured.
