Double cross pens

Just curious if there was a tutorial on the double cross pens. I really like the look, but have not quite figured it all out yet. My big problem is making the cuts without screwing up the grain alignment.

There isn't a tutorial, but there is a penturner's site that shows the sequence in pictures. I know I saw the link here, but it was several months ago. Maybe someone will remember whose site it was. The big thing to remember is that after the first cut, you have to remove the same amount of material that you will be adding. You need a sled for your bandsaw or tablesaw. I have one for 45 degrees, one for 30 degrees and I'm making one for 20 degrees.
