Finished these this weekend for a customer, first 3 are curly crotch walnut, last is a curly koa. on on rhodium cigars.
Sanded to 2000 grit, used EEE, finished sanding to 15000, 10-15 coats of WTF then two coats of ren wax. Really like the real wood feel as opposed to the shiny CA finish. Think I'll stick with this for all my woods, no plasticky ( is that a word?) feel.
