I wonder if any one knows if PSI `s Rose Gold cartridge points will fit a reg. 30 cal. shell ? It would be nice if they did. I have a 100 count bag of shells i bought at sports store years ago. Thanks Carl

No they will not easily adapt.

It is not very dificult to adapt slimline tips to '06 or similar cases.

I just use slimline copper nibs in 30-06 casings. I cut the tips off of .270 casings & use them for a filler in the 30-06 necks. Slimline nibs fit fairly well in the .270 necks.

Ouch for price in the current case supply for 270 cases.

Wood,-n-whimseys sells a bushing for $0.89 that does the same thing. I make them from PSI 8 mm pencil tube cut into 1/4 inch pieces with a dremel and a fine cutoff wheel. If the case has been resized, it may be necessary to slit the piece of 8 mm tube with the dremel and cut off wheel.

I use the 8mm tubes and slide a 7mm tube in that and it works fine and evens up good with a slim nib. I use c/a and fix them in. I might try epoxy next time to give me more time to line them up.
I will try a reg. bullet tip as soon as i get to Cabela`s to pick some up. Thanks for info. Carl

The thread from a threaded Sierra Transmission works, the thing is Sierra transmissions have threaded couplers and push on type couplers,i cut the tread section off the Trans and use that, sometimes i remove the nib end thread and glue a 7mm brass tube then make a bush to fit case neck. the 30/30 is to show the nib fit's this shell case also

I use the actual 30 caliber bullet for the nib. Just get you a box of full metal jacket, boat tail 30 caliber bullets and melt out the lead with a handheld torch, then all u have to do is file the point flat enough to frill a hole for therefill.

I use real bullets for mine, also. However, using 'fake' bullets would allow you to easily make a cartridge click pen.

Also with a threaded nib if you can change a faulty Transmission s/line:)
