Last year I started to design my own baseball bat pen. I used a pocket pen
kit. Worked ok. This year I am using a slim line kit. This was my first attempt. Needs work.

I need to shape it more was late when I did this one.


I will improve the shape and attempt a close end bat end. The wood used here is ash. Will post progress updates.

Agree. Shape needs to be better defined. If you hadn't said so, I would not think it to be a baseball bat. My experience is that ash does not make a good wood for turning pens as it is too open grained. Same with hickory, oak, some walnuts and others. Yours look pretty coarse, I'm surprised you assembled them that way.
