Tried something a little different.

Saw this material in the craft store and thought it might look cool wrapped around a pen. What do you think?

Wish you could see the colors in it. It's not just gold. They come through in the picture a little, but much more so in real life.

It is a gold "lacing" vinyl. Used in kids crafts. I liked the colors in it. I cast it in clear, but when turning the clear PR got so thin that it started chipping off. The thickness at the bushing ends of the tube and lacing is almost at the max. I ended up using CA to do the ends. Next time, I will probably just forego the casting and use CA for the entire blank.

that or you could just use a sierra vista style kit if you dont mind the girthyness of the pen:biggrin:
