Spalted Katalox

This is a pen from some killer wood I got from Gary Max. It is spalted katalox with a mix of heartwood and sapwood. The kit is an Elegant Sierra from Beartooth Woods. The finish is CA. Comments of all persuasions are welcome.

Beautiful! I was lucky enough to get some of those blanks from Gary Max. They make for some gorgeous pens.

Thanks Gary. It is easy to make a nice pen when you have a great blank!

You may have to cut some more two tone blanks. I have torn my trash heap shop apart and still haven't found the other 4 spalted katalox blanks I have!!
