I made these two pens as gifts for my veterinarian and her assistant for their years of dedication to my cat and myself. My little guy has got a whole laundry list of ailments but he's as tough as nails! 
I used rubberized (black) CA during assembly so as to highlight some of the grain near each paw print. I like that look as it makes each print look a little "muddy" - like a little kitten has just gotten himself into something he probably should not have.
