I've been wanting a "work" pen. I always carry a pen and a pocket knife. I decided I wanted to make a pen that was rugged looking and I wouldn't mind banging around. Sooo, I had an old work belt that use to belong to my father-in-law. I cut it up and made a rough Vertex. I really like it. No, I know it is not pretty, but it feels good. I coated the leather with a few coats of wipe on ploy and was surprised it still feels soft. I may coat it with bear grease once in a while when I do my boots.
