My First Celtic Knot

This is my first successful one (third try). The pen is Amboyna Burl with Cherry inset on a Copper Wallstreet II.

Sorry, I don't have enough amboyna cut-offs left. This one was actually a happy accident. The cherry blank cracked on the end so I turned it down and added some amboyna scraps. The final result was much better than the initial plan.

That's a very good looking knot. I've tried a couple but none have come even close to yours. If I keep trying maybe someday I'll get one thats is presentable.

When I do another one of these, I am going to create a jig to hold the blank during glue-up so I don't make such a mess. My hands were covered in super glue by the time I was done.
