Decided to work on a few pens this afternoon. Three of the blanks that I used (USAF, Cowboys, & Steampunk) came from my winnings during the 2015 Super Bowl Contest. Thanks for the members sending me these blanks. Sorry I do not remember exact names without taking time to research through some of my notes. The New Orleans civil war blank was purchased from one of our IAP members in Arkansas.
The Cowboys and USAF blank only needed a finish applied. So multiple coats of CA later & they are finished. Those were two of the easiest pens that I have ever put together. The steampunk blank was also easy to turn. The New Orleans civil war blank had been turned previously but due to the pen malfunctioning, it had been rendered useless & sent to the box of parts. Today was the day to refinish it & put it back into service.
