Well, after seeing a couple pens lately done with holly, I decided to try one. I'd never turned Holly before, but had a little in the shop that has been calling me out! O.K. it wins.
I think it came out pretty nice with the Satin Gold, but as always, any tips, criticisms, or praise is always welcome.:D

Beautiful looking! It seems a tad whiter than some of the others. Could be the lighting, but I do know that some holly is lighter while some may be a little more ivory and creamy looking.

I was actually suprised how white it was![:p] The piece of Holly I had was 1X1X12 and every bit of it looks just as good. No yellow or discoloration in it that I can see.
The picture (to me) actually has more of a yellowish tint to it than the pen actually has. It may have something to do with the hardware, I don't know. One of these days I'm going to learn how to take a decent photo.[:)]

Thanks,
Micah
