Wow, this has been an experience. Maybe it was beginner's luck, but I had not one problem with this hard-to-work material. I only wish I could have gotten more of a straight profile, but I didn't want to push my luck.
Sanded through 1500, MM through 12000 and HUT plastic polish.
Now, if only Santa would bring me a buffer for Christmas...

I think with cebloplast, you need to take light cuts and turn at a fairly slow speed--maybe 900-1000. High speed and heavy cuts will definitely cause heat and possibly melting.

Some cebloplast is not at all translucent. Those with light colors in them however are and reverse painting is necessary.

See, I heard lathe fast. I'll try it slower next time. I did reverse paint the blank and tube a matte silver, to help bring out the lighter parts.
