Hey guys,

So today I made a pen and I was planning to make two, I was taking my time, after this one I called it a day. When I was done finishing it, I proceeded to assemble it... here is what happened.



So yeah, usually at this point I just throw away the pen and go do something else but I did not want to give up. I sat in front of the pen for a good 5 minutes and I made a punch out of a smaller brass tube and a old pen mandrel i used to apply CA with. Here's the ghetto punch:



The coupler was removed easily and I saved that one so here is the shots:

Yeah, I agree, you need a proper set of punches...!

What can I say about the pen, apart from being so well made...??? beautiful, will fit nicely...!:wink:

+1 on the punches from Harbor Freight - have saved me many times. Good recovery - I judge the skilll of pen turners not by how well they turn pens but how well you fix the problems.
