Blackbutt Decking

A mate is building a new deck at his place. He wandered in and dropped 3 offcuts of Blackbutt decking on my desk. He asked if I could make him a pen.

The details. Turned at 3900rpm on the Yellow Peril, with 12mm skew. Blackbutt is hard (Janka 9.1) and can splinter, even with fine cuts. DAMHIKT :curse: Sanded from #240 to #800 Abranet, then #1800 - #12000 Micromesh, EEE and 10 coats of Aussie Oil.
