I have been a member or Eastern Maine Woodturners for 3 years and am moving to Naples Fl. in September this year. I was wondering if there are any clubs in I could join in the Naples area. I learned more from fellow club members than anywhere else and am hoping to meet some woodturners in Fl.
 
Check the AAW for chapter listing for Florida -- there are bunch listed but I do not know what towns are where

Local Chapters - The American Association of Woodturners

Enter the State and look for a town close to you.

I agree on the benefit of going to a turning club meeting. There are pen turners who hang out there -- and you learn other things too.

Think about spark plugging an IAP chapter while you are there.

You will be pretty close to the John Campbell Folk School -- a great place to take a turning class with top tier turners.

I know that there is a AAW woodturners club that meets in Ft Myers (about 45 minute drive). When I was going there were a few from the Naples area that were members. Give a shout when you move in.
