a bored woodworker and the woodpile for the smoker can never be a good combination! my next brisket (yea, we do that here in Texas:biggrin:) may be lacking in the flavor department, thats a piece of my smokin pecan.
and it was sacrificed for this piece of junk!?!:eek:

I found some of the wildest spalted wood in front of a convenience store once. I took a little goblet i made out of it back to the store. they were blown away. That was like three years ago and the cup still sits on their shelf for all to see.

Got news for ya...We smoke brisket up here in Maine too:biggrin::biggrin: But that is some pretty firewood ya got., and yes save the chips, soak'em, foil'em and smoke'em right up!
