Walnut and ??? Segmenting

This is a black walnut segmented with some red wood that a friend brings me. The dark woods look very nice against each other. This is a rhodium slimline from CSUSA with a BLO and CA finish.

The barrels and the segmenting came out well enough that I am not putting a centerband on the pen.

Great job lining up the segments! I think your redwood is probably bloodwood or redheart but I think the first is more likely.
