Vertex Gun Metal Rollerball in Red Heart

I'm wondering if anyone knows how long Red Heart can be expected to maintain its color before turning brown on the customer? Thanks for any input. All comments/critiques are welcome.

I have two pens made from redheart that I made about 18 months ago. Neither has changed color in that time. I had heard that once a finish is applied the red should stay permanently, but untreated wood should be kept in a dark place as it is really susceptible to UV. I finished one with CA and the other with oil-based poly.

Thanks, good to know. I finished it with HUT Crystal Coat. I had just heard that all these highly colored woods like Purple Heart and Red Heart go brown over time.
