I made my first casting last night. I used the PR from Michaels. The amount of PR was 10 OZ cast on a 4x6x1". I used 50 drops of Cat and the garage was at 69 Deg.
Result was fine and clear but the PR was very hard and somehow britle.
QUESTION: I'm thinking at using 40 drops instead of 50 is that too much of a decrease?
Thanks for your response.

I cast 16 oz at once, 1" thick and use 3 drops per ounce. Works good for me.
Do a good turn daily!

Alex,

I very good way to do it is if your casting something small and narrow, like 3/4" PVC the use about 4 drops (depends on outside temp), when I cast in disposible ziplock bowls I use 2-3 drops. This is because the larger the poor, the more heat it will generate. The smaller casts do not generate as much heat, so I use less.
