Hey guys,

Here is the latest, I reluctantly turned this slimline for a friend, I don't like the kit but heck it's what she wanted! :)

I have little experience with plastic, acrylic or whatever variant it is. The few turning I had some in the past went well, but this acrylic was really hard, I went too fast and the end exploded! Lesson learned. On a positive note, I always wear proper protection while turning.

So after it happened I was about to just call it a day and I decided to prepare the extra blank I had with CA and I turned it right away, I took my time and I went with really fine cuts. I shaped to her liking and VoilĂ !

Thanks and comments welcomed,

Charles

I like the shape on that one and how shinny it is in the sunlight. I had those problems too when I tried acrylics at first. As you learned, slow and light. You did a great job getting the other one turned down. Nice blank too btw.
