I haven't posted any pens here lately since, to me, the pens start looking like all the others that are posted. This time its a little different. I had an order for two fountain pens that were unique. These blanks that I recieved from Curtis do seem to qualify. Both are Texas mountain laurel (mescal bean) one a worthless wood the other with some of the finest figure I've ever seen in a blank. I only hoped I could give the woods justice when I turned them. Oh, the client was flabergasted.

Stunning pens, and if you are turning pens that look like the rest, thats because you've become adjusted to exceptional penmaking around here. To the average pen buyer, they are not all alike.

Glen, thank you for the comment and I agree, but with that being said, most of what I know I have learned on this site. I was just commenting on my pens. I still come to the site daily and admire the pens that all the members make.
