Have been making some seam rippers lately and I thought I might try embellishing them on the Pen Wizard.
The PW requires a through hole and I was trying to come up with some ideas to plug the end of the blank. The Swarovski Crystal (CSUSA) looks like it might do the job but I am unsure as how to prepare the end of the blank for the crystal. The crystal itself is about 35/64 in dia (the package says 1/2 in) and the crystal comes to about a 45 degree point on the mounting side.
Anybody had any experience with mounting these crystals or any suggestions?

Thanks

I have used these on bottle stoppers. So far my technique has been to create a cone shaped hole with my carbide tool then fine tune it using my skew as a scraper (I'm a bit limited on tools at this point). I attach the "gem" with a dab of epoxy being careful about squeeze-out on the finished part. Here is a shot of one of my earlier attempts.
