This slimline was made from a blank I had on hand that had been dyed magenta and stabilized. I had no idea what it was inside but the outside of the raw blank was not encouraging.
This is what emerged. At least I'll get to occasionally admire it since it's not leaving the family ;)
Comments and critique welcome as always.

WHAT? You didn't hide the clip ring?[:D]

Nice looking pen. What is there not to like about just any burl, especially when they're dyed and stabilized? I like the centerband.

Bill,

Nice pen. I like the dyed and stabilized woods. I am looking forward to meeting you this coming week at the Provo gathering. [:)]

Thanks all for the commnents!

Gerry,
Slimlines are a model I have yet to recess the clips for, thanks for noticing [}:)]
I do have a couple glued up to play with, but this blank was so ugly in square form I was afraid I was just wasting my time even trying to make a pen with it. Go figure.

It is interesting how the dyes took in some places and not in others when it was stabilized.

Mark,
Three days and counting...... [:D]
