Shoe Polish Finish

Ok, I know I've seen it somewhere, but for the life of me, I just can't find it anymore. Can someone show me an example of a shoe-polish finish?

I'm wanting to say what I saw was a bowl someone turned then dyed with black shoe-polish.

Well" Bonnie Klein" has used shoe polish for years that might be where you saw it....

Thanks, but that wasn't it.

This was an example of a bowl somebody turned, and then finished it with shoe polish.
