I'am looking for somebody in the Fort Worth area that knows how to sharpen lathe tools and is willing to take the time to show me how!!
Anybody in this area willing to spend some time helping me??

Hi, Jim. We looked in the yellow pages and found a guy who sharpens lawn mower blades and hand tools. He also does woodworking tools, and he let us watch as he sharpened ours. 10 or 12 more visits, ans we might have the hang of it! Anyway, you might try this in Ft. Worth.

But, you might want to try it while it is warm out...this guy said as fall approaches, he has so many tools to sharpen, he is several weeks behind. I guess most woodworkers are busiest in the fall, so they all get their tools sharpened when the weather starts to turn.

And, there is always the Wolverine system. That's what we will end up doing...10 or 12 more visits will take too long!

Woodcraft stores usually have a resident turner who will demo sharpening, sometimes for a small class fee. Here's the address/phone number for the Woodcraft in your area:
