I've just got done with this. I got a couple of nice one inch slices of Rosewood burl from CAG Lumber up in Gainesville, Ga. several weeks ago and today I cut one of them down to one inch blank size. There was a nub left that I sliced down even smaller to a half inch that just made it for a slimline. I got a gold kit out and added a gold stylus tip from Craft Supplies and turned it with an artists profile or calligraphy profile, whatever you want to call it.
That is some really pretty wood!
