No I didn't. I got lucky. I need to get some brass black. What does everyone recommend for painting a tube white? Should I just buy white tubes?

Nice looking pen. I usually paint the tubes with Testors paint then I usually put a coat of paint in the hole on the blank too. It has worked pretty well for me so far.
