I noticed some people us pressure while other use vacuum and some use both.

I set up my HF Pressure Pot for both vacuum and pressure. Last night I had only one leak I need to fix so I think I'm on the right track.

I bought a can of clear resin and catalyst from Michaels last night and want to try this out. I want to glue a coin in the top of a bottle stopper and put the resin over it so that it will look like a nice glass dome. The resin will only be like 1/2" thick.

Should I use pressure or vacuum?

How long does it need to stay in the pot?

How long before I can turn it?

Thanks

I believe that YoYospin, a great member of the IAP, would be among one of the best to answer this as he tends to cast 10,000's of blanks. He recently had a post here where he proudly displayed his skills in casting fishing lures. Danged wonderful job he did too! Made a whole bunch here want to go fishing!

See if you can get his attention here... [:D]
