Pencil Question

Does anyone know of a Good Pencil Kit that is reliable?
If anyone makes the pentel conversion pencils please let me know

Any pen that uses a parker refill can be made as a pencil. Some may need a little tweaking. For others, it is just a matter of switching the pen refill for a Schmidt pencil mechanism.

Edit: The slimline pencils are AWFUL.

Ok. Will take a look. Would a cigar work? Or would a pentel be better

I've been using a Wall St pencil for about 4 months. It's a daily use pencil at work. The only problem I've had is the lead breaking off alot when I first started using it.
Since leaving the lead extended, I've not had a breakage. I'm guessing it had something to do with the act of pressing the lead back into the pencil. IDK. Other than that, it's been very reliable.

Go to the library, under the 2006 articles, there is nice tutorial by Scott Hettel about it.

Update after playing with it a little I got it to work

I do the Pentels. In fact my PITH pen is a Pentel! (Don't tell Skiprat!)

They're WAY more reliable than the kit pencil mechanisms. Two folks on here sell the drill bit and mandrel to do the conversion. I bought mine from rherrell.

I do wood, resin, aluminum, and brass (so far).
