This is a blank recieved in a trade, reverse painted brown. This is only the second time of trying to post a pic. so forgive the quality. Any and all critique very welcome.

looks like it has good fit and finnish , nice looking pen .( I like the blank ) the back ground dont work for me , kind of blending in .... but i am still learing the picture thing myself
 
It is a sierra from that dreaded co. in china.
As for the background I agree, but my daughter the art teacher chewed me out for too much going on in the back. Said to make the pen the star of the show. If I don't do as told she will beat me with a paint brush.

I like it! Did you CA it and sand again? Real nice finish. I like the pen stand too. You must have a little nail or something coming through to hold the pen there. Good idea.
 
Two coats of BLO and CA then sanded lightly with 600 and two more BLO and CA. then buffed with white rouge followed up with Autosol metal polish and a coat of automotive wax. Total finish time of approx. 5 min.
