Hi,

Nothing too special but a couple of native UK timbers and a Black Palm!

The plum was very hard to turn but came out a beautiful shade of orangey-pink! With a great lighter stripe that spirals through it! CA finish - Gold Ti

The second is Laburnum, also hard to turn. Has pretty distinct grain and a nice dark colour, probably one of the darkest native timbers. CA finish - Gold Ti

The third is a Black Palm, first time turning this and didn't find it too bad! Used a skew done to with around an 1/8" of the bushing and then sanded down to the final size with some 120grit abranet! Stabilised with a coat of CA then through the usual routine. Did have one of the Palm straws come away, but as the patter of the timber is so random, a quick fill of CA and dust and unnoticeable when finished! CA finish - Chrome

Comments appreciated!
