Missel for an upcoming ordination

Made this missel out of Light walnut and a dark walnut base.
This will be a gift to a new priest being ordained next weekend.
Hope he likes it. Had a lot of fun making it and with help from my
son, who is also going to be a priest in the next couple of years.

Nice I like how simple it is.

Growing up where I did the Franciscans did not have all the fancy schmancy doodads the city folk had so they relied on local craftsman and them selves. Beautiful stuff.

Thats great! My dad is an Orthodox Priest now, but growing up he was an Episcopalian Priest so I am familiar with the function of that piece. Very well done!~
