Hawaiian Wood Pens

Here are some examples of some pens I made with some wood that I got from a supplier in Hawaii. Unfortunately the supplier is no longer supplying. The top one is Macadamia Nut, the second is Dragon's Eye and the third is Royal Poincianna Kirk[8D]

Nice pens. The grain on the third pen is really interesting. I have some koa I need to turn yet as we already are back from Hawaii and the wife wants the souvenir.

Those are great pens! I really like the Macadamia. I got a few pieces of Macadamia from Bill Baumbeck, and have really enjoyed them!

Many people who have looked at the 3rd pen (Royal Poincianna) think that it looks like leather. The picture really doesn't do it justice. Kirk [8D]
