I had time to play with a design that consists of Bloodwood, ebony, birdseye maple and pink ivory.
Nickle Baron kit.

Coach,
When I sand a blank like this one I will actually apply sanding sealer in between sand paper grits starting at about 800. I have found that this will remove any dust from the pours and prevent contrasting colors from bleeding into it's neighboring wood.
This method has worked extremely well for me so I continue using it.
I'm off to hack up a golf course today with some contractors so have a great day.

Congratulations Ron, that's a sweet looking pen! I'm really getting tempted to try a lamination after all your pens!
