Jeff,

It's just CA. One coat applied with thin CA and 400 grit sand paper as a sanding sealer. Two coats of thin applied with a plastic bag. One coat of thick applied with a plastic bag and one more coat of thin applied with a plastic bag. Sand smooth with 400 grit in between each coat except the last. On the last coat sand all the way to 12000 with MM and then polish with Ren wax.

And thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it.

Good morning DW,

I agree with Jeff, that is one nice looking pen. I am trying to put a package together for Bethlehem Olive Wood to trade for some of her olive wood (Sorry it's taking so long, Diane.) Do you use a fast dry or slow dry glue?

Lee,

Thanks for the compliment. As for the CA, I don't know if it's fast or slow. It's StickFast for the thin CA and HotStuff for the thick CA. The one thing about the method as opposed to the BLO method is that I have a hunch that the BLO/Ca finish may be a tad bit less brittle. Does that make any sense?

Hi DW,

I think you're right, the BLO/CA finish may be a bit less brittle.

I really like the way your pen turned out!

Scott.
