Did some turning this weekend. It's been a long time seens I turned some pens. Not sure of what kind of wood.

The first one is ebony.
The second looks like kingwood.
The third looks like bloodwood, maple, and a B/W/B pickguard.

Thanks I had to turn some pens for me. I got kind of burnt out of turning pens for freedom pens.

That's what I was thinking. I ordered a box of pen blanks for West Penn hardwood and got a big variety of blanks

That second could be cocobolo with some sapwood I have some that looks like that.

All look great, but I LOVE that third one....... it just keeps keeping my eye

3rd pen is proof that a pen doesn't have to be on a $50 kit to look fantastic. Great work.

Yeah I like the third pen to I messed up that end of the blank. I found a small peace of pick guard and some other wood. And came up with that pen.

Great recovery on number three! I thought that you had designed it that way. The look reminds me of something, but I can't decide what it is. All three pens look great.
