I finished this one for my fiance last night. This, like all other Inlace blanks I have done, is "crispy brittle". Is there a trick to these blanks? The take me a good bit of time because I am afraid to chunk them.

"HOOK'EM HORNS"!!!

With any Inlace I've done, I keep the tools sharp and take my time. Pretty simple recipe I know, but it works. Nice looking pen.

Mark pretty much hit it. Keep sharp and take light cuts. I try to get the edges down quickly so I can't catch on them, and then just take sheer cuts for the rest. This is good practice in general. If you are able to stay patient ad take light cuts, your tools will hold their edges longer and your technique will improve. You also will be able to start sanding at much higher grits.

I love how you described the inlace as "crispy" lol. I agree with everyone else, sharp tools and light touch. they do shine up purdy too! Great job on the pen (even if it is pink)
