Took a little break from my usual pen turning routine and concentrated my efforts on a few more wood handled screwdrivers. These particular examples were made using a 5/8" ER32 to secure the hex bit holder and mounted directly to a Beall chuck. The 'pics' should clearly demonstrate the idea. The dark one is walnut and the lighter wood is ash. The ash handled screwdriver is embellished with a mini cabochon that was generously provided by a friend (thanks again ABC). Although the hardware is individually store bought the idea to make these screwdrivers was influenced by the screwdriver harware turning kits that both PSI and Woodcraft have for sale.
