This was the piece i was going to cut up into blanks and sell.
Now im not sure i want to cut up the rest, i may sell it this way.

After i sliced it in half something said try a small vase, so i did.
Ive been experimenting with small vases on some desk top pens.

The small round rim on the tip came about after my skew got caught and ripped a slice out. As it was turning i said hmm mabey ill add something there.

This wood seems bland as you work with it, but the second you put some finish on it comes alive.

Speaking of finish, 4-5 coats tung oil buffed in between with 000 steel wool, then 4-5 coats of shellac, sort of buffed with cheese cloth, then used buffing wheel on drill press.
