I finally got around to turning another stopper tonight. I know that the pic has too much dark in it, I should have used a lighter background.

The picture looks fine. The lighter grain is popping off real nice. Nice stopper, I have yet to make one. You're making me want to give it a shot now.

Agreed - very pretty stopper, but it doesn't look like Bocote to me. More like Cocobolo or "Rosewood" (yes, I know Bocote is a rosewood too). BTW, nice pic of your arm! [:D]

I think that you all are right about it not being bocote. I had a piece of bocote out before I turned this. I believe, though I could be mistaken, that it is a piece of asian rosewood.
