Antler, walnut and cedar pens

Here is my first photo. I finished the walnut pen before I went to work today and I finished the antler pen after work. This is not a good sign for me is it? I already ordered my second set of kits.
My wife located some nice pieces of walnut and sappy cedar last summer that I picked up for a song. It has been sitting around waiting for a rainy day. I should have some nice stock with the crosscut, the thickness and the rich color.
I want to thank everyone here for all the tips and ideas that I have been finding on this forum. Just about anything that I can think of to read about I have been able to find here. Way Cool!!!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Wow, the Antler pen is quite bulky, any problems putting it together?

The pens look great though, Nice shiny finish, and the swirls on the cedar look really good.

Your right, it is way bulky. I had planned to turn it down but I was after as much bark foremost, and I went with the thin bark that remains on the lower blank.

Great pens.......I too like the bark left on the antler pens.
